INSTRUCTIONS FOR PANEL SUBMISSION
This panel submission process allows you to submit and update your panel proposal as needed (to ensure, for exmpale, proper spellings for all names as well as proper biographical information, for the program). And it allows us to work with you through the stages of the panel vetting process (see "call for panels" for more information about this).
STEP ONE: REGISTER AN ACCOUNT.
To submit a panel proposal you must first register: click here to set up a user account.
A new page opens up and the first box you will see is named “Username”. This is the name you will fill in (that is, make up) and use to gain access to the panel information/panel submission page (we recommend you use the easiest word to remember and one you might use frequently in other log/username-creation processes, e.g., first name initial followed by full last name).
The second box to be filled in asks for your email address. Fill this in and finally, fill in you contact information in the boxes below the email address
Then press “Create New Account”.
STEP TWO: RECIEVE EMAIL WITH PASSWORD; CONFIRM ACCOUNT.
After doing this you will receive an email confirmation and password. Click the link in the email to confirm your account and/or to choose a password. You must remember your user name and password in order to access the panel submission page and in order to update it (these names will always remain in your email account for reference). You can call or email us if you have trouble with this process and we recommend storing your user name and password in an accessible place (note too, that you can request a new password but please try to avoid this as it creates difficult forms of clutter on our database).
STEP THREE: LOG IN:
Click here to log into your account, using the password you have just received by email. From this page you will also be able to choose a new password or update your contact information
STEP FOUR: SUBMIT/EDIT YOUR PANEL PROPOSAL.
Once you have logged in, you will see a new menu on your left. From here, you can SUBMIT or VIEW AND EDIT your panel proposal(s). Note that only the first few pieces of information are necessary to get the panel proposal process going (and to reserve a place in the panel vetting process). We need panel title (or event title, etc), a short description of the panel, your name and contact information as panel organizer (and at least one other speaker, preferably more, with name and contact information). You may always return to submit more proposals and/or edit any current proposals.
