Our registration fees don't approach covering the costs of producing our conference. Renting the conference facilities, providing audio equipment, offering transportation and housing for many of our out-of-state and overseas guests, let alone paying our dedicated staff -- all require funds that we rely on you for.  We ask that you donate generously to Left Forum.  All contributions are tax-deductable, including offers of stocks. a letter from Danny Glover

Dear Friend,

I know you share my concerns and questions about the possibilities for real social change in these dark times, times that pose a powerful challenge to Left movements around the world and within the US. How can we best address the strategic and practical dimensions of a new political future? Is protest and resistance a sufficient strategy to stay the forces of global devastation? Is reform the farthest horizon of our own hopes, and, if not, can the Left advance an alternative vision capable of capturing the popular imagination?

Left Forum is the place where all spectrums of the Left -- from anarchists to social democrats -- can address these questions.

Left Forum brings together intellectuals, in and out of the universities, and activists from labor and the social movements to share their theoretical perspectives, concrete tactics, and experiences. Left Forum provides a space for the generation of new ideas, fundamental to building a resurgent Left. It is a place where people from around the world can share and debate theory and strategies.

Despite America's vast wealth and power, its Left is smaller and less vital than many of its counterparts in other countries. Left Forum is one of the world's most significant international conferences of progressive scholars and activists. The cross pollination of ideas coming from all continents not only enriches the Left in the US, but informs other countries' activists and scholars. Left Forum has doubled its attendance in the past three years, and now offers events throughout the year.
