Left Forum is the largest annual progressive conference in the country. Each year thousands of conference participants come together to discuss pressing local, national and global issues; to better understand commonalities, differences, and alternatives to current predicaments; and to share ideas and help build social movements to transform the world.
Whether your interest is in engaging speakers and organizers in their fields (past keynote speakers include: Angela Davis, Noam Chomsky, Arundhati Roy, Frances Fox Piven, Michael Moore, Cornel West, Harry Belafonte, Linda Sarsour, Slavoj Zizek, Alicia Garza and Grace Lee Boggs) or helping out with event planning, media assistance, social media and graphic design, website and database administration, fundraising, or program development and outreach — conference volunteering opportunities offer empowering, intellectual and practical experience.
Volunteer or Intern
We’re a small organization with a dedicated group of organizers, leaving lots of room for your creativity.
Internships are unpaid although academic credit is available. Hours are flexible—we ask approx. 10 hours a week—and can be adapted to fit your schedule. Internships begin immediately.
Volunteer positions: While any amount of volunteer time will help, we encourage 8 or more hours per week, and a 3-6 month commitment. A modicum of computer skills is desired. Volunteer opportunities begin immediately.
If interested in helping out please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and together we can figure out the best way for you to plug in and help us organize. It’s a pivotal year and, more than ever, we need all the help we can get. Thank you in advance, we are looking forward to hearing from you!
