Biography: 
Carl's foray into political, social and environmental activism began at James Monroe High School in 1971 as a member of the Environmental Science Club (formerly the Geology Club). He's a former Chair of the Bronx County Green Party, served on the State Committee of the Green Party of NY State, and as a NY Delegate to GPUS. Carl currently serves as Secretary/Treasurer of Shut Down Indian Point Now; Coordinator for PeaceWorks!, teaching and promoting nonviolent communication skills; Chair of the Campaign to Ban Depleted Uranium, a member organization of the International Coalition to Ban Uranium weapons; and a Board Member of the Hutchinson River Restoration Project in the Bronx. He is a lifelong resident of the Bronx, a musician by passion, an architect by inclination, an activist by conscience, a politician by indignation, a pet owner by joy, a bicyclist by enthusiasm, a vegan by common sense, and a Humanist by rationality.
