•Growing up in the politically charged and divided island of Cyprus, Stephanie’s work
deals with the issues of identity, nationalism, history making, and othering. Her films
are immersive, performative, and poetic. She gained her BA in Fine Art in the U.K. be
fore crossing the pond to receive an MFA from the School of Visual Arts. In 2017 she
was a UnionDocs Collaborative Studio Fellow and also received a 'Made in NY Media
Center with IFP' Fellowship which is sponsored by the Mayor's department of Media
and Entertainment. She's currently developing a feature film about the NYC's Vernon
C. Bain Correctional Center, the worlds largest floating prison.
